Disclaimer: BoF uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.

Both PS5 consoles cap the framerate at 60fps. On Pro, there's dynamic resolution scaling that ranges from 1080p-4K native before being upscaled to 4K PSSR. With 1080p being the lowest internal resolution value, PSSR is still able to reconstruct an excellent 4K image in the most demanding areas.
