Disclaimer: FBC uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.

Unlike Alan Wake 2, which offered a graphics, balanced and performance mode, FBC only has one mode that's 4K at a mostly locked 60fps with no RT. However, Pro can use either PSSR or FSR2 to upscale to 4K, and they perform similarly to their AW2 implementation (PSSR has better motion clarity and less artifacting, but FSR is less noisy and more 4K-like in stills). Base PS5 exclusively uses FSR2 to upscale to only 1440p, though also achieves a stable 60fps.
