Extra Information

Disclaimer: HiU uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.

Both of base PS5's modes also have a 1080p common internal resolution before upscaling to 4K. The biggest differences are in graphical settings - particularly level of detail, where quality mode on both consoles transform the image due to a significant increase in assets like foliage. Pro is also more stable than base PS5 in both modes, but all modes only dip 1-2fps. It just happens less often on Pro. Pro can also use TSR and PSSR for upscaling, but neither provide a significant advantage in image quality or framerate. As a UE5 game, TSR is likely the safer option in the long-run though.
