Extra Information

Disclaimer: Isonzo uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.

Pro uses PSSR to upscale to 4K, whereas base PS5 uses FSR 2.2 to upscale to 1800p. While both consoles also use DRS, Pro internally renders between 756p-1440p, whereas base PS5 is between 630p-1200p. Between the higher internal DRS and output resolution, Pro looks noticeably sharper. Pro also runs in High CPU Frequency mode for improved performance (a more stable framerate that targets 60fps, but can go up to 120fps with HFR/VRR).
