Disclaimer: 2K26 uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.
NBA 2K26 has the same Pro enhancements as NBA 2K25, meaning only Pro has RT reflections in The City and upscales to 4K via PSSR1. While this creates a slightly sharper image compared to base PS5, PSSR1 also causes certain assets like handrails in the stands to render a bit more unstable (likely fixed with PSSR2). Fortunately, 2K26 still looks better than last year due to improved shading, lighting, animations, etc, but these are on base PS5 as well. Both consoles also render cutscenes (crowd shots, replays, etc) at 30fps, while maintaining a locked 60fps in gameplay.
