Disclaimer: NMS uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.
While base PS5 has a singular mode that also runs at 4K/60fps, both Pro modes have improved lighting, ultra quality reflections and higher quality ambient occlusion. These improvements are also seen in the PSVR2 version. PSSR implementation works very well due to the high base resolution in both modes.
