Disclaimer: RE8 uses PSSR1 natively, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. However, as of September 26, the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle (which forces PSSR2 upscaling) is activated by default. PSSR2 was made the default because it resolves a sharper, more stable image and removes PSSR1's film grain-like noise. If you experience image quality issues though, deactivate the toggle in PS5 system settings to see if PSSR1 produces better results.
You can actually toggle both RT and HFR on, with the framerate then ranging from from 65fps-90fps. 120fps is not on base PS5, which uses 4K checkerboard rendering (1920x2160) and even then, still can't hold a stable 60fps with RT enabled. PSSR is less sharp compared to base PS5's CBR, but also less noisy, with less artifacting on moving objects like tree branches.
